Laser Skin Rejuvenation & Resurfacing in Tysons & McLean, VA
What Is Laser Skin Rejuvenation?
Laser skin rejuvenation uses controlled light or laser energy to renew the skin’s surface and stimulate collagen below it, improving fine lines, wrinkles, texture, sun damage, acne scars and uneven tone. Resurfacing refers to the deeper end of that spectrum, where the laser removes or remodels the outer layers so smoother, more even skin takes their place.
DermaGlow MedSpa offers three laser and light platforms, from the gentle MOXI® to the fractional Cartessa® Helix CO2 laser, so the intensity can be matched to your skin, your concern and how much recovery time you have. Your provider recommends the right one during a consultation at our Tysons location.
Laser & Light Treatments We Offer
Cartessa® Helix CO2 Laser
The Cartessa® Helix CO2 laser is an advanced CO2 laser treatment for skin resurfacing. By combining ablative and non-ablative energy in one session, it supports collagen production and natural skin renewal, helping reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and sun damage over time while improving texture and tone. Treatment settings are customized to your skin and goals.
MOXI® by Sciton®
MOXI® is a gentle, non-ablative fractional laser that stimulates collagen production and encourages cellular turnover, helping reduce fine lines, improve tone and address pigmentation and sun damage. Sessions are quick, usually under 30 minutes, with minimal downtime, and it is suitable for all skin types and tones, including clients who want to prevent early signs of aging.
BBL® Photofacial by Sciton®
BBL® delivers BroadBand Light™ energy to the skin to reduce age spots, sun damage, redness and broken capillaries while stimulating collagen for firmer, more even skin. It treats the face, neck, chest, arms and hands, is non-invasive with minimal downtime, and is often combined with MOXI® for tone and texture together.
Not a Laser, Often Paired: Quadessy™
Quadessy™ radiofrequency microneedling refines texture, softens fine lines and treats acne scars by delivering synchronized RF energy to three layers of the skin in one pass. It is not a laser, but it addresses many of the same concerns and your provider may recommend it alongside, or instead of, a laser depending on your skin.
Which Laser Treatment Is Right for Me?
- Deeper wrinkles, acne scars and texture that need true resurfacing: Cartessa® Helix CO2.
- Early fine lines, dullness and pigmentation with minimal downtime, or prevention: MOXI®.
- Sun spots, redness and broken capillaries: BBL® Photofacial.
- Texture and scars without a laser: Quadessy™ RF microneedling.
Results from MOXI® are typically visible within a week after treatment, and skin continues to improve as collagen production increases, with optimal results after a series of sessions. Individual results vary.

FAQs
What is the difference between laser rejuvenation and laser resurfacing?
Rejuvenation is the broad goal of fresher, more even skin, and gentler lasers such as MOXI® achieve it with minimal downtime. Resurfacing is the deeper approach, where a laser like the Cartessa® Helix CO2 remodels the outer layers of skin to address wrinkles, scars and texture more intensively.
Which laser is right for my skin type?
MOXI® is suitable for all skin types and tones, and BBL® is suitable for various skin types and areas. The Cartessa® Helix CO2 laser offers customizable settings. Your provider will examine your skin and recommend the safest, most effective option at your consultation.
How much downtime should I expect?
It depends on the treatment. MOXI® and BBL® are described as minimal-downtime treatments; a CO2 resurfacing session involves more recovery, which your provider will explain in detail before you book.
How soon will I see results?
Clients typically see improvement from MOXI® within a week, with continued gains as collagen builds. BBL® and CO2 results develop over the weeks following treatment, and a series of sessions may be recommended for optimal results. Individual results vary.
